The #1 biggest myth about success

Morning routines of the 1%.

I've been somewhat of an overachiever all my life. Achievement was my badge of honor.

But let's be honest—we are humans, not machines. It's not about ticking off goals incessantly.

Have you ever been captivated by the "morning routine of the 1%"? It usually goes something like this:

↳ Wake up

↳ Journal

↳ Cold plunge

↳ Run 10 miles

↳ Fast till Noon

Impressive, isn't it? I've always respected those who can maintain such discipline consistently for years.

But let’s consider another picture of hustle:

↳ Wake up

↳ Walk the dog

↳ Sip a coffee

↳ Get to work

↳ Take Friday off

It isn’t about pushing past limits every day, or about meeting unrealistic expectations.

It's about showing up.

Doing what you need to do, day in and day out.

Success isn't a constantly pushing; it's finding what works for you and sticking with it through the ups and downs.

Life has a natural ebb and flow.

Sometimes, I'm all in—crushing it, unstoppable. Other times, I prefer a loose routine with more play. Today, I have a new rhythm.

Work designed to support my life, not consume it. 🧡

There are times for hustle:

  • You want to create outsized results

  • You're single / young and can go all in

  • You're building your first business/career

These periods are not sustainable.

But often they make sense. The time to go all in is when you have little to lose, not responsible yet for mortgage and family to support.

Mr. Beast spent years obsessing over his goal of becoming the top Youtube content creator of all time. He put in work for years to create this outsized result.

But there are times in life when this makes sense and when it’s time to slow down, rest and focus on family, friends and health. To balance it all.

Why this matters

The myth that only one type of routine leads to success is not true. Easy to forget that personal well-being and happiness are just as crucial as professional achievements.

Find your own success rhythm

Start by identifying what makes you feel productive and fulfilled. Remember, there’s no one-size-fits-all.

Here's how you can start:

  • Reflect on your natural workflow: When are you most energetic? Tailor your tasks to these times.

  • Set realistic goals: Aim for achievable daily objectives that motivate you without overwhelming.

  • Prioritize self-care: Ensure your routine includes breaks and activities that help you recharge.

Your success is personal to you

Remember, success is deeply personal. It’s about creating a life that feels good on the inside for you, not one that just looks good on the outside.

Having an amazing personal life is not mutually exclusive to success at work.

Till next time,

Noemi ❤️
